The Mission and Evangelism Board 

The Mission and Evangelism Board (MEB), is one of Grace Baptist Church’s vital ministries. MEB plays a critical role in Grace’s vision to disciple people, develop leaders and shape destiny. The MEB is responsible for Grace’s missions and evangelism activities and works collaboratively with the pastors to mobilize the entire congregation to fulfill the Great Commission of our Lord to us to “Go ye therefore into all nations and make them my disciples” (Matthew 28:19). MEB is headed by Rev. Justice Appiah-Kubi, the pastor responsible for missions and evangelism works to fulfill the Lord’s command through the activities of the following ministries at Grace:


Crusade and Church planting ministries
This is a crucial wing of the MEB. Through this ministry the board has not only organized several crusades within the Kumasi metropolis and beyond to reach the lost with the gospel of the Kingdom but has also established a number of churches in the Ashanti region.


Fellowship and zonal committees
The MEB has grouped the entire congregation into small groups called fellowships (TWI service) and Zones (English service). These fellowships and zones not only serve as venues to strengthen and disciple members through weekly residential meetings but also serve as a conduit to reach the lost in the residential communities of our members.


Radio Ministry
The enactment of the law by the Government of Ghana that allows the establishment of private radio stations in the country, has made radio broadcast an important medium of mass communication. This has helped the church to reach thousands through the airwaves. The radio program dubbed ‘Grace Hour’ is aired on Saturdays on LUV 99.5 FM at 6:15AM.


Prisons Ministry
‘I was in prison and you came to Me’. The MEB through this ministry is actively, continuously and joyfully ministering to the inmates of the Kumasi Prisons. The ministry has in many ways worked to meet not just the spiritual needs which is paramount but also the physical and emotional needs of inmates of the Kumasi Prisons.


Hospital Ministry
‘I was sick and you visited Me’. The Hospital ministry works mainly in the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital to preach the good news of the Kingdom to patients and pray for them.


Recreation and games committee
Soccer is an important sporting activity in the country. It has the power to bring our people together. The MEB takes of advantage of crucial soccer tournaments like the World Cup or African Cup to telecast the matches on giant screens at the church premises for the public to come and watch. During the half times and end of the games, the members of the board shares the gospel with those that gather during such events.


Prayer ministry
My house shall be called a house of prayer. The work of MEB depends on and requires prayer. The prayer ministry is an important wing of the board and is blessed with dedicated volunteers that continually support the boards works through prayers.


Counseling ministry
MEB works closely the team of counselors in the church to reach out, counsel and follow up all who visit the church as well as those that make decisions to receive Christ Jesus as their Lord and Saviour for the first time. Then through the adult Sunday school and the pastors the person is then taken through the discipleship program to ensure that the soul won for Christ occupy till he comes.


Schools and Drama ministry
Through this ministry the MEB is doing a great job of reaching out to high school students in the boarding schools of the Senior High Schools in our province. The ministry also collaborate the National Union of Baptist Students to organize and disciple all Baptist students studying in the High Schools through the activities of the Junior Baptist Student Union.


Media committee
This is a team of lay and professional graphic designers, journalists, photographers, projectionists, video production specialists, Information Technology specialists and audiovisual specialists that works together to advertise the church’s yearlong activities as well as supporting the inreach and outreach activities of the church through the use of modern media tools.
The MEB organizes workshops or seminars, prayer meetings and offers teachings to members of the church to get them equipped for the great commission. However, the fields are always white but the labours are few. The MEB is always in the need of more volunteers to support its activities by serving in any of its ministries at Grace. Remember blessed are the feet of those that carry the gospel to the lost and wise is he or she who wins souls.
